  2. This reminds me of the big blue bearded Iris I thoughtlessly planted under my Tiger Eye sumac.

      There’s nothing subtle about the Tiger Eye sumac. I always wonder if it’s better to chose companions to tone it down or just go with it!

    I absolutely love the planting, it’s so fresh and zingy so never mind the squirrel 😉

      We were given a hanging basket of bright red petunias as a gift one year. I hung it from the post and trust me it was even more zingy than this!

  4. I have way too many live squirrels, I really would not want an inanimate one.

      We have hawks. They help immeasurably with the squirrel numbers but you have to be ready for a squirrel spine here and there in the garden…
